No. The tool automatically initializes an embedded SQLite database file (database.sqlite) on your Hostinger Apache environment. It requires zero configuration, has zero monthly database costs, and supports unlimited links.

How fast is the redirect for human visitors?

Redirection is near-instantaneous. The server immediately issues an HTTP 302 Found response along with no-cache headers and a client-side JavaScript window.location.replace() fallback.

How can I test the meta tags without being redirected?

Simply append ?preview=1 to your generated link (e.g. https://yourdomain.com/x/7a8f9b?preview=1). This activates Inspector Mode, displaying the exact Open Graph and Twitter Card tags served to crawlers.

How are uploaded images secured?

Uploaded images are placed into the /uploads/ folder with safe randomized filenames. The uploads directory has a dedicated .htaccess policy that completely disables PHP execution, prevents script uploads, and turns off directory browsing.
